The monitor is a light emitting device which uses the RGB color system to give the product its individual color. Each “pixel” of the monitor is made up of three dots that are very close to each other. Those colors are red, green, and blue. They can be turned into any color combination so that the resulting image of the pixel to the viewer represents a variety of different colors. 
 
When it comes to our printing, the devices are pigment based which lay down the color and reflect the light around them. They still use the dots of color but since they reflect the light rather than project it there are different colors used. Those colors are cyan, magenta, black, yellow, light magenta and light cyan. Like the monitors, These dots are placed very close to each other to give the perception of a million different color options. 
 
Monitor manufacturers compete with each other in producing an output, Each trying to outdo one another. As a result, this can create their default settings to turn up their brightness and temperature to exceed the natural sunlight.
