Just before Christmas, Signs A La Carte went to Savvy Custom Gifts to install window clings on doors and white lettering in their showroom and on their corridor wall.
By the way, Savvy Custom Gifts offers custom, personalized gifts, gift baskets, and promotional products. Owner Katie Taylor and her creative team will partner with you to design and create beautiful and affordable personalized gifts for your family, friends, and customers.
Katie wanted to have white lettering with her company’s logo on two walls. We used the Graphtec plotter to cut the design, weeded the extra material, and masked the signs to be installed. Her business also had several glass doors that needed to be updated with vinyl.
Benefits of Window Clings
Signs A La Carte installed printed window clings. These decals have no adhesive backing, and static electricity helps them stick to the smooth surface. Window clings can be printed and cut into any shape your business needs. They’re made from flexible, easy-to-move thin vinyl film that can be installed in seconds.
Since the clings have no adhesive backing, you can easily reposition them if needed and even use them in another location. Most importantly, this product leaves no residue.
Look at the surface you have on your trailer, don’t you think advertising your business on the square footage could be a good idea?
If you look at surveys, they say that one vehicle wrap can generate between 30,000 – 80,000 impressions per day. Advertising for fleet vehicles increases name recognition 15 times more than other advertising media. Mobile advertising reaches consumers not exposed to newspapers, radio and television. Here is a great article explaining all these details https://www.bigpicturegraphics.com/car-advertising-statistics/
Advertise your business with Vehicle Wraps.
Our team from Signs A La Carte discuss with you 4 options we offer such as: full vehicle wraps, half vehicle wraps or cut letters & graphics that will fit your budget.
To wrap your vehicle, we print any color on a mat, gloss or reflective high-quality products from 3M and Avery. Vinyl are laminated to be able to withstand moisture or rain, color change due to the sun, and are not damaged by debris that is left on the road. Our Graphtec machine cut letters and shapes in the adhesive vinyl perfectly.
Per our conversation, Signs A La Carte will better understand your goal and will deliver the best solution that will promote your brand and generate business. We will talk about logo, website, tagline, list of offerings, phone number and graphics to optimize the space usage of your trailer.
When the picture in your mind becomes reality
A great example of vehicle graphics is the last trailer we did for Neufer Lawn Care. Matthew Neufer came to our store and told us what he hoped to see on his trailer. He wanted to have the design of his tee shirt with lettering on 2 sides. His goal is to show on site, when he works, his brand and what he does. We talk about the color as well. He sent us a high-quality file of the logo and business name, and the words he wanted to put on the trailer. When we print the file with our digital printer, there won’t be any pixels and the picture will have a clean and perfect rendering. We sent him a proof and he came back to us with ideas of how this could be improved. We changed what was on the proof to answer his requests, the color and location of words on the 2 sides.
We really appreciate working with someone who knows exactly what he wants for his design.
If you need someone to take care of your garden, Matt is a very professional person, you can see all the jobs he did on his Facebook page: https://www.facebook.com/neuferlawncare/
If a company (not only a landscaping company, of course!) has multiple trailers, we can duplicate easily the first we have done, because we are consistency in printing and cutting. As we already have the design, the colors and measurements, all the trailers will look the same with the same graphic. If the vehicle is not the same model, we will adapt everything in order to have your brand be recognized on the road and catch attention. That’s what we call fleet management.
Would you consider wrapping your trailer with vinyl for a real investment? Would you like to know more about the products and services that can benefit your business? Contact Signs A La Carte today and we will help you schedule a free consultation!
How Frosted and Etched Vinyl Graphics Give Your Business More Privacy by Signs A La Carte - West Chester, PA-
Frosted or etched adhesive vinyl graphics keep privacy in conference rooms and executive offices or represent the corporate brand temperately, on sliding doors and glass partitions.
The terms frosted and etched glass come from the type of glass work that existed before vinyl. Etched and frosted glass are generic terms for decorative, translucent glass that obscures visibility and also diffuses light. The difference between the two is in their meaning.
Etching is the process of altering the surface of the glass to create a decorative effect. Frosting changes the surface of the glass from transparent to translucent to create an opaque, cloudy appearance. This is usually achieved by acid-etching, sometimes called ‘French embossing,’ one of the oldest decorative glass techniques. Thousands of years ago, craftsmen discovered that heating fluorite, a dark green mineral, produced hydrofluoric acid. When applied to glass, it eroded the top layer of glass and left a frosted look.
Nowadays to get the effect of frosted glass without using a dangerous chemical, we use vinyl, which is applied on glass. This product is a three-mil, high-quality PVC film with a soft and constant light transmission that prevents reflection. The clear and permanent adhesive is widely appropriate for use on plotter cutting systems. It can be used indoors and outdoors on windows and glass doors.
Frosted and etched vinyl graphics maintain the privacy of conference rooms and executive offices. They can also help display a corporate brand on sliding doors and glass partitions.
Case Study: A. Duie Pyle
For A. Duie Pyle, the Northeast’s premier transportation and logistics provider, etched glass vinyl created privacy in the company’s conference room. Employees using the conference room benefitted from the natural light the vinyl allowed to pass into the room, while still maintaining privacy from the public hallway. Signs A La Carte also cut A. Duie Pyle’s logo out of the vinyl to create a branded wall.
When we worked with International Ministries, also known as the American Baptist Foreign Mission Society, we used frosted vinyl to make the entrance door more decorative. The logo is trimmed like a step and repeat banner. With a strip of etched glass at eye-level, it’s an attractive and sophisticated addition to the business’s ambiance.
River Avenue Digital
Additionally, frosted or etched adhesive vinyl graphics maintain privacy from the outside. River Avenue Digital came to Signs A La Carte for this type of vinyl to create a layer of privacy between the office and passerbys on the street. It gives the office a high-class, professional look.
Kids Clubhouse of the Mainline
Etched and frosted vinyl is also incredibly useful when working with kids. Signs A La Carte installed frosted vinyl on the windows at Kids Clubhouse of the Mainline, a daycare on demand. During the day, sunlight can pass through the vinyl, but the kids and employees aren’t distracted by what’s happening outside.
Whether you need an upscale look for your storefront or interior windows or you want to incorporate frosted glass vinyl for a custom logo or signboard, Signs A La Carte will exceed your expectations by applying attractive and versatile material. Give us a call if you want to install privacy window film at your business!
Signs A La Carte has a variety of options to custom signs in an office.
Whether you have a small business, a medium-sized organization, or a big business, office signage is very useful. Office business signs have two primary purposes: They help your team to be more organized and efficient, and they guide visitors and new employees to your space.
At Signs A La Carte, we offer a variety of customized options.
Benefits of Indoor Office Signage
Workplace productivity increases with wall signs. These signs can be mounted on stand-off for a dimensional look, or they can be directly installed on the wall. The creativity of your design can enhance the decor and aesthetics of your office. Office business signs also help point everyone in the right direction without distracting others in the office.
Types of Business Signs
Some common types of indoor business signs include:
Signs A La Carte uses a variety of materials to create custom signs like the one below:.
Applied on the wall, vinyl is a material that can be easily applied to make your name, logo, and lettering stand out in any color, size, or font you want.
An eco-friendly option, wallpaper covers the entire wall or part of a wall with the image of your choosing.
Window graphics serve the same purpose as wall vinyl. But rather than having your graphics on the wall, they’re displayed on the windows.
Frosted or Etched Vinyl
This type of vinyl is applied on windows to make a room or office more private.
In most offices, plaques are used to display the name of the receptionist or the company’s name in a professional style.
Customized to match your office’s interior design, directory signs help customers navigate the offices in a large building.
ADA signs are required by law. They help people with reduced vision navigate buildings and are commonly installed near elevators, bathrooms, and exits.
If you want to make your message or brand stand out, dimensional letters are designed to attract attention. These visible and noticeable signs help notify visitors when they’ve reached the right destination.
These signs have a sophisticated look for displaying eye-catching branding and logos. Acrylic signs are mounted with standoffs, and you can choose the color and the size. You can also mix different materials and create multiple layers by adding letters, frosted vinyl, printed vinyl, and more.
Aluminum signs can be used in three ways: as the face of the sign, as a cut-out that allows light and color to pass through the letters and logo, or as letters and shapes that directly stud to the wall.
Ready to Create Custom Office Signage?
Signs A La Carte can customize the size, color, font, and shape of signage that reflects your business identity. If you like the examples above and are looking for something similar or completely different, give us a call and our teams are happy to help with your signage needs.
Creating Custom Window and Wall Decals for Tilted Axes of West Chester by Signs A La Carte -West Chester, PA-
Signs A La Carte printed and installed wall and windows graphics at Tilted Axes in West Chester.
Signs A La Carte designed all the signs for our neighboring business, Tilted Axes of West Chester, an axe-throwing and BYOB food and drink venue. Patrons throw axes in a safe line for two hours while enjoying time with friends and getting a great workout. Each group has a coach who explains the rules and teaches you how to throw the axes. You can also play darts and tic-tac-toe, listen to music, and buy pizzas from a food truck.
Owners Jason and Jake started from scratch with an empty building. With the help of friends and family, they built everything, from the tables to the soundproofing walls. When Jason came to Signs A La Carte in December, he immediately decided to work on his signs project with us. The venue was opening in two weeks, and he needed to be ready with signs advertising the new business.
We started out doing one interior sign and window graphics. The logo was printed on vinyl, laminated, and applied to the wall of the entrance.
Behind the Tilted Axes customer service desk, the white wall was covered by a wall graphic with the logo. After working on his reception area, Jason noticed that his entertainment center needed some adjustments. Signs A La Carte created stickers for the pool table area that said, ‘No drinks and food on the pool table.
The last big job was the storefront sign. At this point, Jason decided to create a franchise, which meant he needed to rethink his logo and add more colors. The outdoor sign was printed on vinyl applied on acrylic with an aluminum frame. His little touch adding black pieces in the corners looks even better.
Then Jason came to us with a wonderful idea for decorating the bathroom doors. Like with the wall, we used overlaminate printed vinyl. To avoid being visible from outside, the plain doors became a nice plaid.
If you get the chance, go throw axes and check out the beautiful signs. And if you like the work we did and want to invest in your signage, don’t hesitate to contact us. We’ll work with you to grow your business!
Creating New Exterior Signs and a Lobby Sign for Brandywine Med Spa by Signs A La Carte -West Chester, PA-
Signs A La Carte installed exterior signs and lobby signs at Brandywine Med Spa in Kenneth Square.
One year ago, Dr. Tariq and Uzma Quraishi contacted Signs A La Carte for help rebranding signage for their new business facility. Dr. Uzma Quraishi has been providing general medical care and cosmetic treatments in the Kennett Square area since 2004. At Brandywine Med Spa, she offers the latest innovations in cosmetic medicine.
Our part of the project included creating new exterior signs and a lobby sign. First, Dr. Quraishi wanted to change out the pylon in front of the building. Signs A La Carte refurbished the sign that had belonged to a previous restaurant. We kept the octagonal shape of the sign, cutting two new acrylic faces and applying a translucid black cut vinyl with the doctor’s name, phone number, and business name. This type of vinyl allows light to go through.
Now for the story of the two freezer doors outside the building. Initially the couple discussed a landscape. Our designer sent them a few proofs, but they were still undecided. One day, our designer found some photos and arranged them in a new proof. The proof was approved, but then winter arrived. If temperatures are below freezing, it’s impossible to install vinyl outdoors. We had to wait for the weather to get warmer.
Finally, after a spring warm up, we were able to install the high-quality, laminated, large-format printing on the two freezer doors. The photos have a lasting impact on customers—when we talk about other businesses in the area, we mention these photos and automatically, people know where to go.
Dr. Tariq and Uzma Quraishi were great to work with! Despite the weather challenges, they were very understanding. As we know, the weather isn’t the only challenge we sometimes face when installing signs, and we were just lucky we had such patient clients. The finished Brandywine Med Spa sign is classy and chic.
If you want to rebrand your business and need a new interior or exterior sign, contact Signs A La Carte. We’d love to help!
Image is everything in business, a reflective adhesive vinyl on the car is a very good choice.
At Signs A La Carte, our customers usually ask for a specific wrap on their vehicle to represent their company. We offer three different types of wraps: full wraps, half wraps, and decals and lettering.
Full Vinyl Wraps
A full wrap covers the entire vehicle, even the roof. The design typically represents large format graphics that sometimes include pictures. The way it’s assembled gives your vehicle a clean, professional look.
Half Vinyl Wraps
Half wraps are more economical choices for fleets since they use less material than full wraps. Big and bold graphics are generally only on the sides or back of a vehicle—two areas that will positively impact your business.
Custom Decals and Lettering
Custom decals and lettering are great options for companies that only want to include basic information on their vehicles, such as their name and/or logo. A website or phone number can also be added. By choosing the right font, you’ll make it easy for your potential customers to see your business’s information.
Printing on Reflective Vinyl
We typically print on a high-quality product from 3M or Avery, but recently, we did a wrap with a new product from 3M: a reflective vinyl that glows in the dark when charged by light and heat. The reflective adhesive vinyl is four millimeters thick and comes with clear permanent adhesive backing. Because it’s protected by a gloss laminate, it can be used indoors or outdoors, is waterproof and UV safe, and will last for years.
We used the reflective adhesive to completely wrap a van for Adam’s Auto Parts. Adam came to Signs A La Carte to work on his business graphics with our designer. The design looked beautiful on the computer and even more amazing in person.
Benefits of Reflective Vinyl
Once the job was complete, we realized that reflective vinyl provides endless choices for wrapping various surfaces. Below we’ve included some of the types of reflective vinyl and the benefits of each.
Wrapping various surfaces with reflective adhesive vinyl provides a lightweight, economical alternative to paint for your fleet or architectural applications, indoors and out. Since reflective vinyl is waterproof, you can even wrap your boat.

Vinyl is useful for any type of wrap, sometimes it is difficult to wrap objects.
Sometimes wrapping an object is more cost effective than painting it, especially when you’re working with a complicated design. It’s easier to correct a shape before printing than it is to repaint a wall. Vinyl wrapping provides endless creative and branding opportunities. But it’s sometimes hard to wrap certain items because of the complexity of the elements.
Here are three important things Signs A La Carte considers for each vinyl project.
Even though vinyl can handle deformity, sometimes when there’s too much distortion, the adhesive behind the vinyl cracks. Curved shapes and spheres are almost impossible to wrap. The Signs A La Carte team has to use cast vinyl for these shapes.
Wrapping a bike? Consider painting it instead. With all of the curves on the bike’s frame, a vinyl wrap will take significantly longer to complete.
Our customers frequently ask if we can refurbish their signs. Our response: “We’ll see what we can do!” Vinyl must stick perfectly on the surface of the sign to look good and withstand the elements. We ask our customers to bring us their sign or send us a photo so we know exactly what we’re working with.
When Signs A La Carte does mural wraps, we bring our adhesion test kit to test the wall and determine which vinyl to use. Vinyl doesn’t work well on wood if the surface is rough and untreated. This also applies to rusted metal.
Vinyl is fabricated to be durable and endure deformation. Temperature can negatively impact adhesion to a surface and shorten the lifespan of the vinyl. Rapidly changing temperatures or temperatures that are extremely hot or cold are not good for vinyl—the finish will peel and crack. We don’t recommend installing outdoor wraps in below-freezing temperatures because the vinyl adhesive won’t stick.
We Can Wrap Anything with Patience
No matter what you want to wrap, Signs A La Carte can do it. However, preparing the area and applying the vinyl might take longer than usual.
Examples of some of the less-common objects we’ve wrapped include:
Vinyl wraps provide an economical way to decorate surfaces, and they’re easily removable. From walls and posters to storefront signs, Signs A La Carte can wrap anything with a smooth surface. We can also protect your vehicle against extreme elements and road debris while making your brand visible to potential customers.
