Signs A La Carte manufactured and installed Channel Letters on a building for ReminderMedia.
Channel Letters for ReminderMedia
ReminderMedia, a sales and marketing company that creates custom publications for small business professionals, recently changed offices in King of Prussia. They asked Signs A La Carte to help design their signs, which included 35-foot channel letters on the building wall and an updated post sign at the entrance.
Channel letter storefront signs are like cabinet signs. Each letter, logo, or shape is separate and forms part of the same sign. They’re built on a long-lasting aluminum frame to resist rust and prevent other weather-related damage. A piece of polycarbonate is cut at the exact shape to fit the aluminum frame. These types of signs allow for customization of size, font, color, and shape, and they can also be illuminated. The three-dimensional signs can be front-lit or back-lit, which creates a halo around the letters.
Signs A La Carte's team began with a site survey, determining where the signs would be installed and what was behind the wall. The sign installers needed to know what kind of drill and screws to bring so they could be prepared with the right materials to fit the project.
Before we got started on the installation, we contacted the landlord and township to ensure we were following zoning regulations. A permit is often required on these types of projects. This prevents the business owner from having to remove the sign in the future because it violates regulations. Since we were mounting the sign on the second floor of the building, we needed a bucket truck. The sign was on a raceway—it required fewer holes in the facade that could damage the wall.
After we completed the steps above, we designed the sign and sent the proof to the customer. Once it was approved, we manufactured each piece. Then it was time for the install. We carefully monitored the weather forecast—on a windy day, the installers have a more difficult time keeping their work space steady.
During the installation, many ReminderMedia employees came outside to watch. A 35-foot panel sign installation isn’t something you get to see every day!

Signs A La Carte helps businesses increase brand visibility by customizing LED signs with company’s font, colors, and logo.
Do you want to impress your current customers and drive traffic to your business? Try using modern light emitting diodes (LED) technology on your signs. LED signs can be customized with your company’s font, colors, and logo. Plus, potential customers will pay more attention to your business with a brand-new LED sign.
Here are some advantages to having LED signage.
Custom-made LED signage from Signs A La Carte is manufactured to your specifications. You choose the size, color, shape, and other details of your sign.
LED signs have a longer life and are designed by section, which means they’re easy to replace when necessary.
Using LED is better for the environment. You help minimize pollution by putting fewer fluorescent bulbs and traditional neon signage in the landfill, and you might even see reduced energy costs! Did you know you can upgrade your old neon or bulb signs to LED?
LED signs are bright by day and by night. These illuminated signs are one of your most valuable marketing tools for making your business stand out.
One thing all LED signs have in common is their ability to be installed indoors and outdoors.
Ready to see an LED sign in action? Take a look at what Signs A La Carte did for the store front at PromMiss Dresses. Channel letters are illuminated by LED signs. In addition to its use for retail storefronts and businesses with late-night hours, the illuminated exterior sign can also be used for awning signs, monument signs, and parking area signs.
Since LED signs provide vibrant light, the lights installed on the edge of the sign are powerful enough to add quality and brightness, even if you have an opaque sign. Take this FPA lobby sign, for example.
LED signage can make a great addition to your business. Its indoor and outdoor versatility increases your business’s visual appeal and sends the right message to your customers.

Signs A La Carte ( West Chester-PA- sign company) will help you decide what storefront sign using 3-dimensional letters is best for your building.
As a business owner, you’ve probably asked yourself what type of sign is best for your storefront. Nowadays, three-dimensional letters are almost everywhere—they have greater visibility, a professional appearance, and excellent versatility and illumination. Channel letters and dimensional letters are the best options for three-dimensional letters.
Signs A La Carte, your West Chester, PA sign company, will help you decide what storefront sign is best for your building.
Channel letters are one of the most commonly requested signs for clothing stores, restaurants, jewelry stores, offices, supermarkets, and even schools. These building signs can be customized to represent any logo, message, or idea. The decorative sign is made of polycarbonate and aluminum and customized to fit your requirements, including color, size, letters and numbers, fonts, and symbols. The appearance of the sign is unlike a traditional lightbox. Channel letters are a modern and chic way to promote your brand.
The most important detail of channel letter signs is the illumination. They’re generally face-lit or reverse halo styles. Face-lit channel letters project light onto the front of the letters, while reverse halo-style letters project light out the back of the letters at night and are mounted on a raceway. Lighted signs attract your potential customers’ attention as they pass by your business.
Fortunately, if one letter is damaged, it’s easy to replace. Signs A La Carte doesn’t have to replace the entire sign, which can be pricey.
Unlike channel letters, dimensional letters are illuminated by an exterior source that can be added later if desired. These exterior signs can be made with a variety of materials such as acrylic, painted foam, acrylic-faced foam, formed plastic or metal letters (brushed or unbrushed). They’re installed directly into the building’s facade. Signs A La Carte will guide you through the process of creating an eye-catching sign for your business.
Another advantage of dimensional letters is their versatility. They can be used inside the building or incorporated into a monument sign or a post and panel sign.
What’s Best for My Business?
Want to attract attention to your sign at night? Channel letters are your best option. If your business doesn’t require light at night, dimensional letters would be a better choice. At Signs A La Carte, we can help you select and install your dream sign on the front of your building. Both signs are great for promoting your brand.
Still unsure which letters to choose? All photos on this page, taken from one of the last jobs we completed, show the difference between channel letters, dimensional letters and other jobs we can do.
If you’re a new business owner or want to update your existing exterior signage, we can work with you to create a sign that suits your needs. Call Signs A La Carte at 484-464-0111.

Explanation of The Process of Creating a Custom Monument Sign by Signs A La Carte- West Chester -PA-
Have you seen the beautiful shopping center monument sign in Limerick, PA? Signs A La Carte was the proud manufacturer and installer.
We handled every step in the process to draw attention to the new shopping center coming soon. From pieces of wood and electrical wire, we designed and mounted the illuminated monument.
Ever wonder how a monument sign is made? Below we’ve included the steps in the sign-making process, including design, fabrication and assembly, and installation.
Your monument sign will include both the actual signage and the masonry that helps support the sign’s base. You have options for each component. Business owners will often match their sign to the architecture of their building. Stone, aluminum, wood, acrylic, and other metals are the materials we most frequently use.
Before you get too far in the design process, it’s a good idea to check with your municipality to find out what your city code allows. If you are creating your first monument sign, you’ll be required to secure a permit for your sign.
Fabrication and Assembly
At Signs A La Carte, we have the in-house capabilities to execute and supervise each step in the fabrication and assembly process. This helps ensure that the sign we install at your business matches the specifications we agreed upon during the design phase. Fabrication begins once you’ve approved the design and are ready to move forward.
Mounting the Sign
Assuming all permits have been secured, it’s time to install your sign! Monument signs should be placed perpendicularly to the street. To help ensure your sign is easy to read, make sure you take shadows and sunlight into consideration when placing your sign. Signs A La Carte will guide you through the process. We have all of the tools and equipment needed to securely install your sign.
After the footer or foundation of the monument sign are prepared to receive the sign, we secure the metal frame of the sign to the footer. The last step is to slide the acrylic faces with names or phone numbers at their place it should be.
And voila! Your sign is installed and ready to attract visitors to your business.
Why Install or Refresh a Monument Sign?
Retailers spend a lot of money to be in high-traffic shopping malls. However, old, unattractive monument faces—or worse, no monument sign at all—are even more costly. Signs A La Carte fabricates and installs shopping mall signs to increase traffic and sales.
Many smart retailers are improving their signage for the new year! If you are looking for a new signage solution, Signs A La Carte can help you enhance your ideas or start from scratch. Don’t hesitate to contact us with questions about creating your monument sign or any kind of signs you may need.
Signs A La Carte- West Chester, PA- has a A Guide to Vinyl Signs to help you custom any kind of signs.

Signs A La Carte has a large printer that can print any type of vinyl and wallpaper we apply on various surfaces. Here is a list (not exhaustive) of the types of vinyl signs we can create.
Wall and Window Graphics
The printer uses primary colors to reproduce all pictures and designs for your project. The chart below represents the colors we can print.
Windows and walls are great surfaces for vinyl application—they are flat, and the space can be used to promote your name, your brand, your tagline, and your beautiful pictures.
At Signs A La Carte, we discuss ways to maximize blank space on your vehicle with the message you want to convey. We provide four options for advertising on your vehicle:
Prefer something removable? We create vehicle magnets! However, these magnetic stickers require extra care than vinyl wraps and must be regularly cleaned to prevent rust.
Monument and Dimensional Channel Letters
Maybe your business is in a business center and you want customers to recognize your business from a distance. You might need dimensional or illuminated letters. If your business center has no monument sign or pylon to indicate which businesses occupy the space, we can install a sign with your design. Signs A La Carte can also update your business name on the face of an existing monument sign or pylon.
Channel letters can help call attention to your building and business. We can also create other building signs to point to your location, including a post, sign rider, store front sign, and more.
Lobby and Interior Signs
When customers enter your building, their first impressions are key. Did they see your logo? The name on your desk? A directional sign? These little details are important for nice Lobby Sign and Interior Signs, and the Signs A La Carte team can help improve the visual experience for your customers. We can also create an ADA sign if needed.
Trade Show Display
Are you promoting your business at an event? You need a trade show display. Signs A La Carte can create a canopy, runner table, banner, roll-up banner, flags, posters, and more. These exhibition booth pieces show who you are, where you are located, and what you have to offer.

Signs A La Carte explains and answers commonly asked questions about Signs: price, wrap, type of signs...
As a full-service, custom sign company located in West Chester-PA-, Signs A La Carte answers many questions about window graphics, vehicle wraps, outdoor and indoor signs, and other types of signs. We’ve included a few of our most commonly asked questions below to give you a look into our process and what makes us different from other sign companies.
Why do you ask so many questions about my sign before we talk about price?
It isn’t easy to provide a price right away because all of our signs are custom. The price of an interior or exterior sign varies depending on several criteria:
Each of these parameters must be considered so we can provide an accurate quote.
How much do you really need to know about my vehicle before you wrap it?
Before processing your vehicle wrap, Signs A La Carte asks important questions about the type of vehicle you want to wrap (car, truck, trailer, plane, etc.). We can give you a quick estimate because we have thousands of templates with standard characteristics. However, we need to know the make, model, year, color, options, add-on equipment, and style of your vehicle first.
To optimize your message and increase brand awareness, Signs A La Carte discusses your goals to deliver the best solution that promotes your brand and generates business. We ask about your logo, website, tagline, offerings, phone number, photos, and more.
With this information, our designers will guide you through the design process, keeping your budget and your vehicle’s space limitations in mind. We can discuss various options including the vinyl color and finishes and the types of wrap that fit your budget.
These are a few types of wrap we offer:
Why is Signs A La Carte different from other companies?
Most of the time, we apply printed vinyl on a sign or vehicle. This is why our vinyl comes in the form of a quality adhesive that’s resistant to external elements like sun, rain, and wind. You have many color and finish options: matte, semi-gloss, gloss, brushed steel, carbon fiber, matte metallic, chrome, and even leather-like finishes.
Finally, our solvent-free printing process combines primary colors for a better-quality image. It allows us to reproduce images in solid color, high-resolution photographs, printing on various types of vinyl (transparent, block out) that we can apply on walls, windows, vehicles, acrylic, and PVC. Our prints come with a layer of film coating adapted to the material, if necessary, to guarantee incredible durability.
Do you have other questions we didn’t cover here? Signs A La Carte is a visual company that can work with you to create your custom sign. Give us a call and we’d be happy to answer your questions or get a project started for you!
Signs A La Carte designs and manufactures any Storefront Signs you need for your business.
Are you the owner of a new commercial property like a restaurant, a medical office, a retail location, a shopping center or a real estate agency? Are you located near West Chester, PA?
If you answered yes, you need some outdoor signage. But what kind of sign do you need?
We, at Signs A La Carte, have a variety of materials to help you find the perfect sign for your brand.
In this post, you will find some examples of storefront signs that you probably see everyday. But which is right for you? Below you’ll see examples of signs that are either attached to the wall or perpendicular at the front facade like a rider sign.
The most exciting question you have to ask yourself is: Do you want your sign illuminated?
The benefit of an illuminated sign is that at night, customers will still be able to notice you in the dark and it can help them to remember your location during the day. We work with an electrician to install your illuminated sign -- and you can choose whether you want to use LED or neon lights.
Another option for an illuminated sign is having us create an acrylic sign in a case. Inside that case we would add lights and the entire sign would glow in the dark like this company, Unique Hearing Aid Solutions, chose.
Maybe you prefer illuminated letters! In this case, you need channel letters, which are generally made of acrylic faces that allow light to be projected through the letters in a multitude of colors. We do it all!
Not looking for an illuminated storefront sign? No problem. We also make PVC, wood, aluminum or stainless-steel panels.
To embellished them, we use different methods like printing, engraving, laser cutting, and painting. We also use colorful vinyl or can add material like raised metal, acrylic, backlit or plastic colorful letters. Signs A La Carte can customize your durable exterior signage with your unique specifications. We can even help with a colorful underlay or installing a spotlight underneath to keep your sign noticeable in the dark.
We also install letters directly on your storefront like Gus & Ruby Letterpress. The material we use are very durable and easy to install. The letters are cut and shaped into any font style you choose!
Here in West Chester, the most affordable storefront used is a called a “sign rider”. A sign rider is usually a smaller sign that accompanies a larger sign or graphic (similar to what you see in a real estate frames). Sign riders are usually placed either below or above (or both) the larger graphic in the frame. Additionally they are used on posts and even hang from iron or wooden hangers. The sign is attached perpendicular to your business. We attach your vinyl to wood or an aluminite sheet, with the information you need
Did you know that your location is on a specific zoning map? That means that you’re not exactly able to do whatever you want. You have to follow the directives from your city or township. Illuminated signs require a permit, not just the preexisting sign rider. You can simply replace sign riders with new information if you keep it the same size. But to make it bigger or change any other specifications to your outdoor signage, you need to check with your city or town -- and definitely your landlord.
Signs A La Carte can produce any sign you can dream up! Just come with your ideas (and permits lol) and we will bring your dreams to life.
Write something about yourself. No need to be fancy, just an overview.
