Signs A La Carte wanted to do our part with helping the community.Since high school and college seniors were not able to get the proper celebration they deserve, many parents and faculty have reached out to see what small gesture they could do to help make light of the current situation. At Signs A La Carte, we make custom signs, to fit the personal desire of the customer. Yard signs seemed like the perfect fit for the students of the community to be able to represent their school and themselves for this celebration. We want to thank the mom’s who went out of their way to order from Signs A La Carte to make their loved one feel special. The orders first began when a customer of ours mentioned the sign she got from us on facebook. Her friends told their friends and BOOM we had hundreds of yard sign orders coming in. We are very grateful for the business during this current pandemic and even more thrilled that students are getting a little taste of what they deserve. Each yard sign we create is different in its own unique way. They can be different sizes, have a different design, and can even be personalized. We want our customers to be as involved in the process as much as we are. If you have a design in mind we can make it! We make sure to pay attention to important details and colors. Each of the yard signs comes with stakes to put into the ground for convenience. How we make yard signs:We want this process to be simple and easy. To create a sign as soon as possible we take in account a few different things. If you send a file or image over to us we would love for it to be an Ai, ESP, or PDF. These files are always clean and sized/scaled accordingly. Pixelated images are the result of an inadequate file. A quality sign begins with quality resolution. Once we have the image we can then begin to collect ideas for your sign. Color, font, and size are all factors that have to be taken into consideration. We can even take logo’s or mascots from schools to add on to the yard sign. Now it is time for production. Along with custom yard signs we also make lawn signs, banners, and flags. Just before we learned we had to close, Bernard Grogan, from Hill’s Quality Seafood asked us to do a banner for his business. He wants to attract customers passing by cars saying the store is open and they can take orders by phone. The delivery will be at the curbside. We sent him the proof of the banner, he accepted it, we printed and delivered in no time.  A few days later, he thanked us because the banner gave him new customers. We are very happy for him. To add to the good news, our company was accepted by the government to stay open under conditions. If he needs us for any kind of signs, he can come back, and that is what he did. Following the rules of the government about the shutdown of the state, the essential living business could still operate, but in some cases, they need to have posters about the new employee rules. We printed the posters for our customers. They needed a new employee; we created yard signs for them to advertise. Hill’s Quality Seafood is a chain of 4 stores, 3 are in Delaware County and 1 in Chester County, their seafood is so fresh and delicious, especially their crab cakes. Do not hesitate to go and try. Last week, he realized that he needed a sign to direct his customers to the parking lot when they came to get their seafood. We proposed to him, an A-frame with 2 posters. Even after the covid-19 pandemic, they will be able to use the a-frame for another purpose. They will just have to change the poster. Something that Signs A La Carte can do easily. Creating Elegant Building Signs for Drexelbrook Catering by Signs A La Carte- West Chester, PA-3/4/2019 Signs A La Carte created more than 60 elegant building signs for Drexelbrook Catering using mostly brushed aluminum and black acrylic materials.Drexelbrook Special Event Center hosts a variety of events, from boardrooms to ballrooms, corporate conferences to weddings, and everything in between. They assist clients with their catering, design, and planning needs so their event guests can enjoy themselves and have a great time. The Challenge CEO Domenick Savino, CPCE decided to renovate all signs inside the building to make them more elegant and modern. Signs A La Carte was invited to tour the building and see the signs that needed to be changed and updated. Existing signs were black or gold, and they felt outdated. After sending several proofs back and forth with the CEO, we designed, manufactured, and installed more than 60 signs in the event center. The Solution Drexelbrook wanted to use their existing logo and add it to all signs. Signs A La Carte created the sign template to be used throughout the facility from scratch using the teal and white logo. Most of the directory signs were 3D with reverse brushed aluminum material and a black acrylic face. On top of the frame, we added the cut-out logo made from a white circle acrylic with UV printed graphic. Typically, with this type of mock up, we provide ADA signs, directional and directory signs, and name plaques for boardrooms. Directional and directory signs with one name have black applique letters on the first surface. Directional signs with many directions have black text vinyl on the first surface. Frames are mounted to the wall with standoffs, which are made from brushed aluminum to match the identification signs.
When we toured the building to find out exactly where the signs would be installed, we suggested a vinyl application for the elevator doors. We sent the CEO a proof of what this would look like, and he agreed with our recommendation. After seeing the beautiful elevator doors, the owner decided the fire extinguishers also needed a new look. Throughout the building, gold covers were transformed into a beautiful palette of teal, black, gray, and white.
All embossed aluminum wall sculptures give the building an elegant style. Signs A La Carte enjoyed working with Drexelbrook and appreciated their trust as we updated the building signs.

We kept the octagonal shape of the sign, applying the doctor’s name, phone number, and business name. With this type of pylon, if the sign isn’t illuminated, there’s likely a problem with the electricity or weather has damaged the bulbs. This is what happened with this customer. When our installer replaced the faces, he changed the bulbs, and now the illuminated sign works perfectly.  New Business Name Signs A La Carte also replaced 10 faces for the same restaurant branch. The proprietor bought a group of closed restaurants and opened them again at his new branch: Olive Tree. In this case, the pole was in good shape, and Signs A La Carte was simply able to install new faces by changing the large decal vinyl printing on the pylon.
