Signage at the Paris 2024 Olympic games – by Signs A La Carte West Chester, PA-

When I bought my train tickets, I did not realize it would be the day of the Olympic games opening ceremony. Days before on TV, officials urged Parisians and visitors to get their passes to be able to move around Paris. Well, when I realized it, it was too late, plans were made.
At the train station in Paris, I was impressed by the signage I saw all around. It was well done with colors you can’t miss: pink, purple, yellow and blues: you will find the reasons why with this link https://www.iledefrance-mobilites.fr/en/news/signage-the-paris-2024-olympics-paralympics-games
This is an example: 

A pink foam carpet was installed. On top they applied regular laminated printed vinyl. This nice carpet is located everywhere in the metro and RER. I saw graphics on walls and stairs at the stations. It was beautiful, you would not be able to miss it, even if you look at your phone, you can’t miss your destination.
 
Bravo to the designers, printers and installers - I really would like to know how many kilometers of vinyl they installed.

The overture and closing ceremony was magnificent, did you see how many costumes they were? (this is a costume mom from school’s plays who is talking here…)
Did you enjoy all the views of Paris during the medal ceremony and/or during each discipline?

The mascots of the Games (one Olympic, one Paralympic) often represent an animal characteristic of the host country. The mascots of Paris 2024 have freed themselves from this tradition: they personify an ideal, a powerful symbol of freedom and a historical reference, the Revolution, known to all French people. The Phryges wear two small Phrygian caps and lead the revolution through sport.

• The Paralympic Games are a major international sporting competition for athletes with physical, sensory, or intellectual disabilities. Originating from efforts to rehabilitate injured veterans after World War II, the Paralympic movement has grown over the years, with the first official Paralympic Games held in Rome, Italy, in 1960. • The 2024 Paris Olympics will mark the third time the city has hosted the Games, following previous editions in 1900 and 1924.
