Here’s an inside look at our five-step vehicle wrap process, featuring a recent project where we wrapped a trailer for the Robotics Department at Episcopal Academy.

Step 1: Custom Graphic Design

For this project, the wrap featured the Episcopal Academy Robotics logo, adapted to span both sides of the trailer and the rear. One side had a door, the other didn’t—and the rear included handles and a license plate in the top-left corner, so the design had to be carefully adjusted to maintain balance without covering functional elements.

Step 2: Printing & Production
 
Once the design is finalized, we bring it to life using top-of-the-line printing technology. We exclusively use air release vinyl, which makes for a smoother installation and a more durable result. The wrap is printed on large sheets, then laminated in either a gloss or matte finish—your choice—to protect the design from weather, UV rays, and general wear and tear.
 
Next, the printed vinyl is precisely cut to shape using a computer-controlled cutting machine. This guarantees clean edges and perfect fitment, even for the most intricate designs.

Step 3: Vehicle Prep & Cleaning
 
Preparation is critical to ensuring the wrap adheres properly and lasts as long as possible. When we arrive on-site, we start by thoroughly cleaning the trailer. First, we remove any old adhesive, wax, or contaminants using a specialized adhesive remover. Then we wipe down the surface with diluted alcohol to eliminate dust and residue. A clean surface means strong adhesion and a flawless finish.

Step 4: Wrap Application
 
Now comes the exciting part—applying the wrap. Each vinyl panel is carefully positioned on the vehicle and applied using a squeegee-like tool that smooths the material and removes air bubbles. Unlike custom paint jobs, which often take days due to curing time, most wraps can be applied in just a few hours.

Step 5: Final Touches & Detailing
 
After installation, we perform a full inspection to make sure everything is perfect. Any final touch-ups are done, and the wrap is given a wrap-safe wash to make it shine. When the Episcopal Academy trailer was complete, it was ready to turn heads on the way to robotics competitions and events.
